The Early Years induction Programme

The Early Years Induction Programme covers:

  • Understanding of the EYFS
  • Child development
  • Teaching and learning in the Early Years
  • Supporting maths and literacy development

The programme of short sessions will provide the underpinning knowledge and awareness of requirements in the EYFS to complement your settings own induction and probationary processes. Together this will maximise the potential of your new employee and help to ensure you have a strong addition to staff team.

Who is this programme for?

The Early Years Induction Programme is for any new or returning members of early years staff. It will offer practitioners working at all levels a good overall knowledge and understanding of how they can working effectively with children to support their care and early education. The programme is designed to support settings in providing professional development that will help to ensure they have competent practitioners that can fulfil their role to their full potential.

 

What is included in the programme?

This programme starts in the autumn term and comprises 4 x 2-hour webinars across 3 terms.

These 4 courses are titled below:

  • Understanding and working with the EYFS Statutory Framework
  • Understanding child development
  • Teaching and learning in Early Years
  • Supporting literacy and maths in everyday practice
