How can you help every pupil feel recognised, valued and part of your school community?
Our Leading for Belonging: Building Inclusive School Communities programme offers school leaders a practical, supported route to strengthen inclusion, equity and community cohesion.
Starting on Thursday 19th November 2026, the series brings schools together to turn shared values into clear, lawful and sustainable practice.
If you are a teacher with leadership responsibilities or are working with colleagues to develop a more inclusive school culture, explore how the programme could support your school’s next steps.
Move from reflection to action
Building on the Great Representation project, this refreshed programme is open to all schools. Whether you are beginning this work or looking to deepen existing practice, you will have space to reflect on your school’s approach and learn alongside peers.
Throughout the programme you will explore how exclusion, disengagement and racism can affect pupils’ experiences and outcomes, and how school leaders can respond in ways that strengthen culture, relationships and learning for all.
The programme will support you to:
- strengthen your confidence in addressing race, class and belonging in schools
- apply an equity lens to curriculum, behaviour and policy decisions
- develop strategies that promote inclusive belonging without creating division
- understand and respond to the needs of racially minoritised pupils
- build sustainable peer networks that support improvement across schools.
Structured collaboration and practical tools, including an adapted Antiracist School Audit, will help you review curriculum, policy and everyday practice with a clear focus on impact and improvement.
The programme includes four in-person sessions, each running from 4.00pm to 6.00pm on:
- Thursday 19th November 2026 at The Adeyfield Academy, Longlands, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 4DE
- Thursday 4 February 2027, Thursday 22 April 2027 and Thursday 13 May 2027 at HFL Education, Bank House, Primett Road, Stevenage, SG1 3EE.
