Our approach to Artificial Intelligence
At HFL Education, we believe that artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance the way we work and the services we provide to schools, settings, and trusts. When used responsibly, AI helps us work more efficiently, reducing time spent on repetitive tasks so we can focus on what matters most — supporting education professionals and improving outcomes for children and young people.
As a not-for-profit organisation, we use AI to streamline workflows and improve productivity, ensuring that our resources are directed where they have the greatest impact. We are committed to the safe, ethical, transparent, and accountable use of AI across our organisation.
All AI tools provided to staff are carefully risk-assessed, and their use is governed by our Acceptable Use of ICT Systems policy. Staff receive training to ensure AI is used effectively, securely, and in line with our organisational values.
We also recognise the environmental impact of digital technologies, including AI. In line with our Corporate Social Responsibility commitments, we encourage staff to use AI only when it adds genuine value and improves efficiency, avoiding unnecessary use where other solutions are available.
By embracing AI thoughtfully and responsibly, we aim to harness its benefits while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, sustainability, and service to the education community.
