As part of our Black History Month celebrations last month the incredible Kit Brown, teacher, footballer, and community leader joined us for a ‘Big Talk’ at his old school in Stevenage.
Kit, a local role model and TikTok star, with two million followers, inspired students at the Nobel School in Stevenage as he shared his personal journey into teaching, speaking about the rewards and challenges of the profession and what inspired him to pursue it. He also discussed how he became a TikTok creator, using his platform to engage young people and promote positive role models in education.

We are immensely proud of the work we do with schools on equality and inclusion which includes Herts Voices organised by our trained race equality adviser, Shammi Rahman.
Shammi offers creative, practical, and effective support to help schools improve race equity and her anti-racism training receives consistently good feedback.
