This is a unique opportunity to act as a strategic technical advisor to schools and trusts, helping them optimise their IT environments, resolve complex issues, and realise the full value of their technology investments.

What you'll bring
- Deep understanding of IT systems architecture, infrastructure, and cloud technologies
- Experience in technical account management or senior IT consultancy, ideally in education
- Strong troubleshooting and optimisation skills across complex IT environments
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering measurable impact
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance
What you'll be doing
- Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance to schools approx. split between:
- 60% Commercial – Building client relationships, driving revenue growth, and managing accounts strategically.
- 40% Technical – Providing product expertise, technical guidance and solution support.
- Conduct regular technical reviews to ensure alignment with best practices and evolving needs
- Own and resolve complex technical issues before they escalate
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver seamless service
- Translate technical insights into business value, helping schools understand ROI and risk mitigation
- Support under-invested IT environments with long-term planning and innovation
- Maintain detailed documentation of client environments and technical actions
- Build strong, lasting relationships with school stakeholders as a trusted technical partner
- Experience with ConnectWise PSA, Brightgauge and Cognition reporting platforms while not a requirement would be desirable
Our ‘working from anywhere’ approach provides colleagues the opportunity to work flexibly in line with their role requirements. The ability to reach different locations by car will be essential for this role. You would need access to a car and have a full driving licence and appropriate car insurance will be required. As there is a permanent home working element to this role, you will need to ensure you are equipped for home working.

Salary: FTE £45,000 - £55,000 p.a.

Location: Hybrid working – 2-3 days per week remote or onsite at educational settings, or as required to meet business needs.
