Our Technology in Schools (TiS) team plays a critical role in delivering hands-on and remote IT support, shaping digital strategies in schools, and ensuring robust and reliable technical infrastructure to empower education.

The roles

  • Tier 1 Service Desk Engineer X 2: (HFL1569)
    Hybrid role based in Stevenage office and remote. Salary: £24,308
  • Tier 1 Technical Services Engineer: (HFL1570)
    Primarily school-based across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. Salary: £24,308
  • Tier 2 Service Desk Engineer: (HFL1571)
    Hybrid role supporting escalated service desk issues. Salary range: £28,000 - £31,500
  • Tier 2 Technical Services Engineer: (HFL1572)
    Experienced role supporting advanced onsite technical projects. Salary range: £28,000 - £31,500

Skills required for all roles:

  • Keen interest in IT with a willingness to continuously develop technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Windows servers, iOS, Google devices, MS365, and networking.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage workloads effectively.
  • Experience with ITSM tools and working to defined SLAs to ensure effective service delivery and continuous improvements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as first point of contact for technical support queries
  • Deliver high-quality remote or onsite support to schools and educational settings
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues or escalate when required
  • Support hardware and software installations, updates, and maintenance
  • Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders or customers
  • Maintain detailed documentation and follow processes to contribute to service improvements
