At HFL Education we’re always looking for smarter, more sustainable ways to support you, our schools, settings and educators. That’s why we’ve been taking a fresh look at how we deliver our CPD (continuing professional development) programme, making sure it’s not only comprehensive and relevant but also affordable.
Since October we’ve been busy behind the scenes auditing our training offer, listening to your feedback and rethinking our approach. One of the biggest changes? We’re now planning our CPD programme annually. Many of you told us that you map out your training needs for the whole academic year, but until now, we were only planning term by term. Starting this term, you’ll be able to see the full year’s training offer in advance, making it easier to plan, budget and coordinate with your teams. Of course, we’ll still be updating the programme each term to respond to emerging needs, and you’ll hear about those updates through our mailing lists and through Term Times.
We’re also excited to be relaunching our Early Years training in time for the autumn. We’ve traditionally provided workshops and sessions separately for schools and for our clients from the PVI and childminder sectors, even when content is the same. We’ve listened to feedback; kept affordability and access in mind; and taken account of upcoming EYFS changes, to build these into our training sessions for our clients.
From autumn onwards, our Arbor academy customers will be able to access more of our training and resources as part of their MIS support contract and we will be introducing this for other customers as their support contracts come up for renewal over the coming year. That means your office teams can access more of our support on the exact topics they need, when they need it to help their work. These on-demand options will complement our live training, giving you full-circle support. We’re really excited to understand if this approach works well and how we can consider it for our clients’ needs in other topics.
Don’t worry – our back catalogue isn’t going anywhere. Many past training sessions are being transformed into on-demand digital learning, while others are available via waitlists. This helps us gauge interest and reduce frustrating cancellations. You’ll be able to find trainer details on our HFL Hub, so if you need something bespoke, you can reach out directly – no need to wait. As always, we want to hear from you.
