The role
We are seeking a candidate whose current post may be within a school, a trust, a teaching hub, a local authority - someone who can support SENCOs, teachers, and support staff to improve
classroom practice for pupils with SEND. You will model effective strategies, provide coaching and guidance, and help develop resources, tools and training that build staff skills and
confidence in delivering inclusive, high-quality provision.
You do not need experience as a senior school leader. Instead, you will bring:
- excellent classroom practice with children and young people with a wide range of needs
- strong understanding of adaptive teaching and inclusive pedagogy
- confidence modelling strategies and supporting colleagues
- experience delivering professional development or leading SEND practice within your setting.
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice: 0–25 years and demonstrate an ability to translate research and guidance into practical classroom
approaches.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a growing, supportive team and make a significant contribution to improving the experiences and outcomes of children and young people with
SEND across Hertfordshire and beyond.
If you believe in the capacity of all learners to achieve great outcomes and you want to make a positive contribution to the quality of SEN provision in mainstream schools, we would love to
hear from you.
